Born in Nigeria, raised in Europe and now based in America. CHIOMA is not a debutant on the global music scene. She has performed all over the world and scored chart topping efforts. Most recently, the #1 spot on the UK top 30 soul chart in 2013 with her performance of 'It's Only Rain' - a song she wrote and vocally produced on Euge Groove’s new album “House of Groove”. She hit the stage in NIGERIA professionally for the first time performing at Darey Art Alade’s Love like a movie 2! Appearing twice. First in Moulin Rouge featuring Waje Zaina and Muna. Then she performed Love is wicked with Eva.
The songwriter featured on international dancehall act, Shaggy's new album; as well as the new Todd Terry album “Todd Terry vs. Hip Hop and his new Freestyle album”. ‘Du Es Im Hogin’ which was released in 2013 is one of the critically acclaimed singles from CHIOMA. She also wrote the song ‘Love Will Conquer All’, released in Europe which has received an overwhelming number of great reviews.
She has written for acts such as Steel Magnolia - Country artiste, Allison Iraheta (Still Breathing) - Rock artiste, Leighton Meester (Body Control) - the Pop/Dance sensation and Alex Young (featuring FatManScoop “Crash the Party”). In 2007, she opened for Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, performed with Stevie Wonder in Latvia, while in 2011; she opened for Janet Jackson, Agnetha Fältskog of ABBA in China and Jamie Foxx at the Super bowl XLV. In 2013, she opened for ZZ Top, Jennifer Hudson in November. She has made appearances on popular talk shows; Today show and the Sopranos.
Inspired by Dolly Parton, Ella Fitzgerald, Tina Turner, late Whitney, Michael Jackson, to mention a few, CHIOMA talent and versatility knows no bound. The Nigerian music industry finally has the breath of fresh air it has been waiting for, CHIOMA.
