… April By Kunbi Makes Bride’s Dream Come True!

Guests went wild yesterday, Saturday, July 6th at the L’Original finale during the auction session for outfits from the judges, courtesy Fayrouz.

During the competition, Fayrouz L’Original judges, Mai Atafo, Kunbi Oyelese of April by Kunbi, Kinabuti, Gozel Green and Orange Culture auctioned some of their exquisite designs for “Rouz currency”, courtesy Fayrouz.

As the auctions went on, guests could not hold back their excitement as they bid passionately for some of the outfits including a graceful white beaded gown by April By Kunbi as well as a brown three buttoned three piece suit by Mai Atafo.

Because of the tough bidding, guests with the highest bids received numerous donations from other guests within the hall, attracting loud cheers from everyone in attendance.  

The April By Kunbi dress later went to one of the guests who said she wanted it for her wedding. Mai Atafo also shocked
the crowd by giving away a second piece of his outfit that was auctioned, as there was a close tie between one of the guests and EbonyLife presenter, Zainab Balogun.

This auction totally blew my mind… It’s been a really tough bid for this piece and because of this… I will be giving both bidders a piece of this outfit!” Mai said during the auction.

Team Elan, who emerged winners of the competition, walked home with the highly coveted prize of $20,000 while contending team, Team LoudTribe, came second place and received the sum of $4,000.

Team Elan will also enjoy a number of fashion opportunities including an automatic entry to showcase their designs at the InternationalLagos Design Fashion Week.

Following the launch of the Fayrouz L’Original platform in December 2013 with the ‘Party for the Originals’; Nigeria’s premium soft drink, Fayrouz has announced the search for the best fashion & lifestyle team in Nigeria.

The Fayrouz L’Original Expression show has been put together to discover and promote young and talented fashion-forward undergraduates in universities across Nigeria. The competition, which will see teams of four young creative including a Fashion Designer, Make-Up Artiste, Photographer and a Model, come together to create original ensembles. These teams will battle for the prize money of $20,000 and fashion opportunities of a lifetime.

The competition, which kicks off registration on Wednesday, April 2nd, will feature various prominent individuals who have over the years carved a niche for themselves in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industry. Fayrouz has selected these fashion authorities as judges and mentors during the competition, they include celebrity designer and stylists, Mai Atafo of Mai Atafo Inspired, Kunbi Oyelese of April By Kunbi, Omoyemi Akerele of Style House, Warebi Martha of Catwalk Productions and Nobel Afrik.

Online judges who will also select the final 10 contending teams throughout the competition include the Orange CultureGozel GreenKate Williams among others.

During the competition, registered teams will participate in tasks that will be given every week to move to every phase of the competition. A regional show for the final 10 teams will also hold in Enugu before a grand finale to select the L’Original team, which will hold in Lagos in July.

Interested participants can register on the Fayrouz L’Original official website (www.fayrouzloriginal.com/competition), register all team members and create a portfolio for your team and complete the task given. Contenders must be a student in a university or a corps member to be a part of the competition.

FAYROUZ TO HOST INTERNATIONAL SINGER, KELLY ROWLAND AT LOVE LIKE A MOVIE 2

Nigeria’s premium beverage brand and official LLAM sponsor, Fayrouz will be hosting multiple award winning American singer and actress Kelly Rowland at the second edition of Darey Art Alade’s music concert, “Love Like A Movie: The Love Roller Coaster”.

The singer and former member of dynamic singing group, Destiny’s Child was announced today as the surprise act for this year’s edition of the concert and will join some of Nigeria’s biggest names on stage to deliver another groundbreaking concert.

Fayrouz has been a part of Love Like A Movie since last year’s maiden edition, which featured international reality star, Kim Kardashian. Makers of the refreshing soft drink have revealed that the world-class music concert and breathtaking theatrics showcases originality, which reflects what the Fayrouz brand stands for.
