NEW MUSIC: SOLOMON FRAN - I CRY TO YOU (LYRICS)

There is a new sound in the air. There is a fresh tune changing the atmosphere, and it's none other
than the new single I CRY TO YOU. This song is a Solomon Fran's heart cry to his Lord and Savior. It's a simple reassurance and reminder that God will deliver us when we cry out to him.

Solomon Fran is a gospel singer, song writer and a recording artist. Although he isn't new to the music scene, his music is a breath of fresh air. Listen to this new single and be sure to check out the other songs: Kahamara and Chimemela.

SOLOMON FRAN – I CRY TO YOU (LYRICS)

Chorus:
I cry to you
I cry to you
Yes, I cry to you
I lift my voice
I lift my voice
To the king of kings

I cry to you
I cry to you (oh God)
Yes, I cry to you
I lift my voice
I lift my voice
To the king of kings (yeah)

Oh...Oh...Oh...

Verse:

When my soul is downcast
I'll lift my voice and cry aloud (yeah)
To the God who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly
For I know
What he says must come to pass (I know)
For he promised he will never leave me (I know)
His word is true (Yes, it is)
That's all I know (I know)

Chorus
I cry to you
I cry to you
Yes, I cry to you
I lift my voice
I lift my voice
To the king of kings

I cry to you
I cry to you
Yes, I cry to you
I lift my voice
I lift my voice
To the king of kings

Oh…Oh….Oh…

Refrain
We are victorious
We’re more than conquerors
Conquerors
We are victorious
We’re more than conquerors
Conquerors

(Repeat)
Oh…Oh….Oh…
I cry to you

INTRODUCING SOUTH AFRICA'S GOSPEL SENSATION - DR. TUMI

Words cannot describe the gifts and talents bestowed on today’s generation. In the last five years or so, many artists have emerged particularly from the motherland. Some have left a lasting impression by hitting notes we never deemed possible, while some have also given us goosebumps from the second we pressed play. Every so often, you stumble upon one who embodies everything I’ve described plus more. That is the case for Dr. Tumi – an amazing vocalist and true worshipper.

I stumbled upon his music while listening to Ntokozo Mbambo’s music this morning, and I became an instant fan. NOTHING WITHOUT YOU is a single off of Dr. Tumi’s Love & Grace album. I strongly recommend this album. It’s one guaranteed to bless every true worshipper.

ABOUT DR. TUMI

Dr. Tumi writes songs that are in synch with the Lord’s move of the season. A former lead singer for award winning gospel group – Intense, Dr. Tumi composed all the songs for the group's album – Heart2Heart, save one. He also wrote all 16 tracks of his debut album - Heart of a King, which won Best RnB Gospel Award at the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards in 2012, where he was also nominated in four categories.

Dr. Tumi's inspiration for song writing is derived from fellowship, the word and experiences in his
day to day journey with the Lord. His songs transcend generations, cultures and times as they are riddled with the word, which is always in season. Dr. Tumi reveals that song is the primary language that connects him with the Giver of gifts, who has endowed him with unparalleled song writing abilities.

Dr. Tumi is fast becoming a sought after songwriter for contemporary gospel. He has written songs for a number of gospel artists in South Africa. Dr. Tumi, who is also a medical doctor, wants his word based prophetic songs to change lives by ministering healing, inspiration, hope, new meaning, revival and experience of God on another dimension. So anointed are Dr. Tumi’s song that he is often inundated with testimonies from those whose lives are touched and impacted by the richness of the substance found in his songs. Like many artists, Dr. Tumi, who is a producer, songwriter, instrumentalist and vocalist, kicked off his music career in Sunday school decades ago. Dr. Tumi just released his latest live offering called Love and Grace, a 15 track album packed with fresh new songs that he all wrote and produced. The album has reached gold status within two months of its release.

TY BELLO FT. NATHANIEL BASSEY - HOLY GHOST AIR (LYRICS)

This is not the best song of the year. This is the best song period!

Holy Ghost Air is a taste of what heaven feels like. It's heaven on earth. It's an awakening of the holy ghost. It takes you straight into the holy of holies. All you want to do is drop whatever has consumed your heart and your time with God, just to reconnect and be close to the one who should have all of your being. It's like a voice crying out from a hill...beckoning every listener to run to the place of worship and connect with the HOLY GHOST.

It's one bound to stay in the heart of every true worshipper. I think the song credit should read Ty Bello ft. Nathaniel Bassey and the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost was definitely present when this piece was brought to life.

NIGERIAN RAPPER, LYRIKAL IS BEHIND BARS

Talks about prison life, freedom, oppression, success and religion

Lyrikal (real name, Jesse James), has released some photos of himself behind prison bars. The concept driven photos are part of the rapper's personal campaign to communicate the challenges of the average young person living in Nigeria today.

According to Lyrikal; "Hip Hop is a form of self-expression that tries to challenge or merely evoke the mood of the circumstances of an environment. The bars are a metaphorical play on the musical jargon; where they represent a point in a verse which contains the punchline for a rap - this is why we used sixteen photos. But most importantly, the bars represent the physical oppression, mental captivity and creative limitations facing the Nigerian youth today."

Lyrikal borrows quotes from William Glasser, Musiq Soulchild, and Nelson Mandela in the expression of his call to freedom.
