RAHYM RE BIRTH OF AFRO HIP HOP ‘ Rahym was born in Lagos, Nigeria and is a current student in Malaysia. Started singing at the age of 15 years old grow up listening to American Hip Hop singer “Tupac” later became a fan of Nigerian singer “Dagrin”. His talent opens many opportunities singing at High school, University of Lagos “Miss Unilag, and one of the most popular events in the year on Nigeria “Love Garden Carnival” for more than five years in the road. Born Ibrahim Babatunde Ladejobi A.K.A RAHYM was born March 12,twenty something years ago. Currently studying in Malaysia {CITY UNIVERSITY/BALLARAT} He started his singing and writing career at the age of fifteen, In 2006 he produced his first demo titled : Omo ABULE.

His very first performance was at a High School in 2002. From then on it`s been performances in clubs and tertiary institutions. Other places of performance are : Miss Unilag 2004 {University of Lagos}, Love Garden Carnival {The biggest carnival in Nigeria sponsored by Nigerian Breweries Plc , AFRICAN NATIONS CUP at national stadium MTN STAND and lot more.ym

AWARDS: Won the best MITV up-coming artiste MUSICAL TV SHOW in 2007.

Rahym's Glorious Day

On 27th June 2007, the MITV Awards brought Rahym back to the stage in MY. The amazing performance by Rahym on Sunday's MITV Awards 2007 began with the title song from his upcoming album "Party Time". Later on, Rahym also sang medley of from his famous R&B hits "As You Dey Wine For Me", "No Woman Like an African WOman" and "Rhythm of Night". Overall, the stage performance of Rahym was fantastic and will definitely open new doors for his return. The title song "Party Time" was deliberately chosen by Rahyme, as he wants the world to know the importance of having fun in life. Everybody deserves second chance, and as reported Rahym's "Party Time" is full of entertaining songs with the co-contribution of Side One, Terry G, Micah, Nelly KC and Xtrela. The long-awaited debut album of Rahym will be released soon.

Rahym went home with the Award for Best Upcoming artiste.
