Jim Iyke Attacks Linda Ikeji on Twitter

Nigeria’s top blogger,Linda Ikeji and star actor Jim Iyke engaged in a fight over the picture above. No need to imagine a boxing session here, it was only a tweet fight. It all started yesterday when a Blogger, Laila Ikeji blogged this Jim Iyke’s Picture she found on his twitter page, of him eating corn in Amsterdam.

The post made a front page in Nairaland, and due to the popularity of the post, it was retweeted and thus aroused the attention of Jim Iyke. Jim Iyke obviously got confused with the similar names and didn’t bother to confirm. So he picked a fight with the wrong person, Linda Ikeji.

See how the conversation between them went :

DAVIDO FLAUNTS 10 MILLION NAIRA CHECK ON TWITTER

19 Years old Music Star, Davido re-defined the meaning of being disrespectful by posting his latest paycheque of N10M (£40K, $72K) on twitter and calling it a little chicken change. Many fans are angry about this and described the young successful artist as being arrogant. He later deleted the tweet and apologized to his fans saying: “I’m sorry for those that are offended by the picture, I never knew God would take me this far and I got a little carried away! una own sef go come.”
Here's the picture he tweeted:

What do you think of his actions? Would you do the same if you had that kind of money?

Being successful on Twitter

Business owners, celebrities, individuals (even presidents i.e. President Goodluck Jonathan) are shifting gears--from having a personal website to owning a private account on a social networking site.

When I asked a friend what she thought about twitter, her expression clearly stated that she saw twitter to be a deluxe edition of facebook where people exhibit tomfoolery.

Truth is...there's more to this site than most people think of it.

Besides the fact that you get to poke your nose in the affairs of your favourite celebrity, Twitter is a good way to sell your business and what you stand for. The benefits of being an active member are astounding; start using twitter in a way that it benefits you.

Twitter (like any other social networking site) is what you make of it.

1. Follow people and businesses in industries that interest you.

Try the Twitter search tool and look-up keywords.

2. Participate in Twitter chats.

The benefits of a Twitter chat or a “hash tag event” are endless and amazing. There are so many great ones on there. These chats are a great way to interact with, meet and connect with professionals in the industry you’re interested in.

3. Share information.

If you run across a cool article that you think the people who follow you will enjoy—share it with them! A lot of websites have a cool tool where all you have to do is click “share on Twitter.” It isn’t hard– promise! It is also a good idea to retweet things that your followers Tweet because they are great resources and you can learn a lot and help others learn a lot, too!

4. Be professional.

If you want to create your brand—don’t Tweet foolishly. Tweeting about how drunk you were last night isn’t going to help you network or get you a job. Also, have a nice picture. (This goes for LinkedIn as well!)

5. Interact.

So, you’re retweeting, you are following cool people and following along in Twitter chats. But it isn’t going to mean anything if you aren’t interacting! Stay in touch with people you meet, reply to people when they post things from their blogs or other sites and always be courteous.
