General Pype - Champion remix ft Dagrin, Vector, Naeto C, Sasha, GT

General PYPE featuring Da Grin, Vector, Naeto C, Sasha & GT.
General PYPE recorded most of his collabos without putting pen to paper. His style has brought attention to dancehall music; his voice is one of the most heard on the radio since 2008 till date. He considers himself as the revolutionary tool that will break the age-long jinx between Nigerian talents and their international counterparts.
Sometimes ago, we were told that there would be a JVA with Storm 360 on PYPE's Album Project.
It's here and it's HAUTE!! Let's call this the Podium Vybez/Storm 360 Alliance..Champions league (season 1)
GT The Guitar Man is Just Fine
Thanks for the patience guys…the hour has finally come…my 8 man band are fully prepared and the album is ready for grabs. STORM IN THE BUILDING! Would like to give you my own review of the album so you know what to expect or basically what was going through my mind when i was writing these songs.1.TRULY-some years back i thought of writing a Yoruba love song with an English hook and i came up with this beautiful song called truly, recorded it 2 years ago and even shot a video for it,wasn't satisfied with the response it got so i hit the studio again,
you just have to like this one! – produced by dmm.
2.BELIEVE-this songs talks about forgiveness in a relationship….and reassuring your spouse that their mistakes are not enough to turn off your feelings…even when friends and families don't see
a reason why you keep going back to someone that keeps hurting u but u know that when u weigh life with and without her you’ll rather forgive than live with the pain of seeing them leave-produced by dmm.
3.HUSTLE-wrote this song while i was waiting for this album to be released..lol was loosing fate in me but i had to look at myself and tell me “hey!!! you cant afford to fail” – produced by dmm.
4.JUST FINE-your friend walks in,tells u your wife’s been cheating but didn't believe until an undercover agent showed u pics of her in the act. Then u realize it's so easy for someone to look straight in your eyes and lie to u that they love u.so u locked her out of your life
and told her u will be doing just fine! written by g.t the guitarman & produced by dmm.
5.MAGA-was just having fun in my mini-studio at home thinking of how to get into the club..boom! won fe so mi di maga….for those who love to rip where they ve not sown..ladies who wanna take all my money, police wey wan take 20 naira roja and politician wey dey lie…won fe so mi di maga!written by me and produced by dmm.
6.OSIMA GBOMI-My sister inspired this song! She made some derogatory statement about my career which she said only out of anger and couldn’t have meant them but hey! words are like eggs once they drop….so this song is dedicated to all who criticize unconstructively..before u run your mouth around, you need to walk in my shoes, osima gbomi!-produced by dmm.
7.DREAMER i wrote this song years ago,the night i was denied citizenship of uk despite that i was born there..like every young boy of my age,the norm is that there is a goldmine waiting outside, where i dont have to strive for things we have in abundunce,a place where dreams
come true….thought of where to start from as my life was built around this “beign british obsession” i thought i was lucky to be born there but after beign denied and looking at how much i ve accomplished operating am so happy i didnt loose my african heritage which am so proud of now.If you still think dreams don’t come true in Africa…you need to look at people like,2 face idibia, Asa, wole soyinka, mikel who not withstanding of the negativities around have made something out of there lives and if you need a practical example you can watch me grow..-produced by ty mix.
8.I DONT WANNA ft naeto-at times you wonder…No matter what i say about the epileptic power situation, security, bad roads,poverty…..it can never change a thing..cos you are definately not the first and you wont be the last..i can recall greats like tai solarin, fela kuti, dele giwa, abiola who fought for the people and hope for a better future for us but fast forward to the future they fought for and you tell me if it was worth it. We are definitely the cause of our problems and not the pigment of our skin..it feature the award winning naeto c on this beautiful conscious love song- produced ty mix.
9.KINIMATISE -Wrote this song for a friend of mine who almost lost the love of his life cos he cheated on her am so happy the song helped them make up-produced by ty mix.
10.UR LOVING-this song is dedicated to all young couples..your papa no fit stop us now…my mama no fit stop us now its official! you've been given the licence to f**k..lol don't mind me o-produced by ty mix.
11.NA U-had to this for jah jehovah…cos WHO AM I not to praise him! And am praising him in a ragga stylee-reproduced by dmm.
12.OSIMA GBOMI REMIX-we just had to do a remix of this song and this one is more danceable remix produced by xela.
13.DREAMER REMIX-had to do a remix of this song too..had my home boi, world famous naeto c on this one again… it has a hip hop feel-produced by ty mix.
14.WETTIN YOU SAY? ft sauce kid-this song is massive…and i personally think you should watch out for sauce kids part cos he killed
it!it talks about the harsh reality of beign a man..it talks about the obvious.
15.Champayne ft dmm, sean terro, uzee bee,menis-dmm(my producer)made this banging beat that and wrote the hook for the song..at first
i didnt see myself doing it cos it didnt defined me..then later began to love it…this song is was built not to make sense..but i assure you that it will move you!aside from sean terro all guys featured on it are upcoming artists which will make u mavel at the quality of talent we have in this country.

GT the Guitarman - Story to Glory
Melodious guitar chord progressions, lovely harmonies, a beautiful voice to go with a handsome energetic and charismatic young man. GT the Guitarman can only be describe by just this few words he is so far the fastest raising musical artist in Nigeria. His first hit ever was dreamer which took the whole of Nigeria by storm. But this artist did not just stop there, he released his next single called 'truly' which became an instant smash hit in Nigeria within just a couple of weeks of air play on the radio stations. The song hit number one and debuted at the number two at the MTN top 10 radio chart show (a chart show which is a cumulative of all the number hits songs across Nigeria). His video 'truly' was shot on 35mm film (The first of its kind in Nigeria/Africa),thus, the video was edited in the United States of America. For an artist who has just been out in under two year, he has already bagged 3 award nominations one for the Nigerian Music Video Awards and two for the Hip hop world awards.
an) born in 1984 into the family of Mr. and Mrs Akigbogun in East Dulwich, London,UK where we spent some years before leaving for Nigeria I did my Primary and secondary school education at community primary school, mile 2,lagos and Mayflower secondary school,Ikenne respectively.Am currently studying Economics at The Lagos State University(lasu). Growing up was cool until that fateful day, when I got back from school and found out that Dad’s at home yet,I asked Mum,were he was,But she told me he has traveled, while the truth of the matter is that-Dad has Abandoned us. Mum had to work harder than she used to,which made it difficult for me to have "that" relationship her as she would leave home everyday as early as 6:30am and gets home as late as 9:pm,which gives me the time to do whatever i want, but Instead of spending my time and energy doing the wrong things,I decided to engage in a more productive vocation….I fell in love with music.I was about 11-12,when my sister opeyemi, who was a chorister ,will bring song they were thought home and we will sing them together, basically just having fun. A couple of people actually told us that we could makea Good team.I joined a couple of groups-at least six, though they were not famous, but we performed at different churches and they served as a stepping stone to where i am right now. I picked up interest in the guitar,in the year 2003 when I saw a guy(Brother John)playing the guitar,it was like heaven.
I approached him,and told him I want to learn how to play the instrument but he told me to get a guitar first, before we can discuss tutorial fees. Then, a small Guitar goes for 5,000 naira, so I started saving and I haven’t even made it half way through before mum started suspecting if am sick, cos I grew thinner, fortunately, seeing how desperate I was,a friend of mine samuel offered me his Guitar, and then came another problem-getting the tuition fees, couldn’t get it so I started learning on my own,i read everything that I could lay my hands on about the guitar, surfed the web for infos on the guitar. And again, seeing how serious I was john gave me his guitar, I kept breathing music to the point where I discovered that almost all the document i ve been keeping were all on music and could not find my O level results. lol.In short notting else mattered. In 2005, a friend of mine's brother(yak-oboh) who is a lecturer, comedian and a show organizer instructed his brother to paste posters for his up coming show, set to hold on vals day,he asked me for assistance and he posted it together. After pasting the posters I begged him to tell his brother about me and we fixed a meeting, I played for him and immediately he told me am on the show.At the show I performed and the response to my music was unbelievable,a comedian(Omobaba no 1) approached me,gave me his card and we hooked up,he took me to different shows and I started reaping from music bit by bit.Same year a friend who I take on guitar lessons knocked my door and told me to dress up that he wants to introduce me to Dare,at first i thought hewas just kidding but he didn't look like he was joking.I jumped up in excitement, picked up my guitar and I was set. He was asleep when I got there but I met his friends and brothers,I played for them and they loved my Music, finally he woke up and listened to my songs and picked up his phone ,called storm and arranged a meeting on my behalf,he actually told me that am the first person he will be doing that for.I met with the Chairman of storm media group,Obi Asika himself and after singing the first song,he told me welcome to storm records.Signed to storm records on the 17th of july, 2005. I, once the black sheep of the family, cos mum once strongly disagreed with my involvement in music, she used to think its for irresponsible pips now receives blessings from mum before each show and every night. Thanks to Yak-Oboh ,the guy who put me in my first real show ever, thanks to Omobaba no 1,the road would have been worse without you, thanks to Dare you are indeed a big brother and thank you to Storm records, you gave me a voice,I look forward to running more things with you guys.Thank you Jesus. To my Dad I guess i made it without you, hope you are proud of your
son now. I guess my life is an attestation of the fact that Dreams Do Come True Trying to tell you how many shows have performed at is like writing a though exam,i wont be able to remember all.as i have performed in clubs, churches, burrials, weddings, seminars ,awards.nevertheless i will try and mention a few that comes to mind.Nites of a thousand Laughs 2005 in abuja,Laffs and jamz,Big brother Nigeria(both eviction parties and the eviction proper),club Nhuru in South-Africa,MTN home coming 2006,Orang Bash,Rhythm Unplugged 2006,Silverbird Man Of The Year Awards,The Future Awards 2006,Dance for Life,Storm 45,Against All Odds,Sound City. currently my video of the song dreamer is getting enough attention from the media.its recieving heavy rotations from channel o and mtv base.no be God? GT's album is now in stores and it's called The truth. he is currently signed to Storm Records.
GT's caught up in the "HUSTLE."

Born Gbemi in 1984, GT is a pure force of nature, with the looks of a teenager and the voice of an angel he almost looks too young to be allowed out late at night but his lyrics show a maturity that goes beyond his years. GT is making important music and at this point in time it has reached a level that Storm is proud to bring this natural talent out.
I fell in love with GT's music when I heard "Truly." This was approximately 6 months ago. Something about his voice caught my attention and that thing is yet to let go of my attention.
"Hustle" is the first track off of GT's new album - The Truth. It features 14 tracks + collaboration with Naeto C and Sauce kid. Directed by Bobby Boulders (Tola Odunsi), this is the newest video from GT.
