Cashino like JJC, May7ven are Nigerian acts based in London, UK but still very much in touch with the local music scene. Cashino's accomplishment cuts across a 2009 NMVA nomination for his video for 'No Future' to a recent street video called 'All I Got' featuring the Legendary Parrish 'PMD' Smith of EPMD to be featured on PMD's album due for release in March 2010.
From collaborating on several occassions with Modenine on tracks like 'Underground' on
Modenine's Pentium IX mixtape, most recent titled 'Number one' and B Elect of The Thoroughbred fame, the heavyweight rap artiste is working on an album - Strong Tower. "On the 25th of January 2010, another eight tracks will be added to the stack effectively forming the conclusion of tracks making up the digital release of the album", He informs about the album he's been recording all of 2009. "My strong point is collaborations with artiste back home. I am one of the few naija acts who keep in touch and can tell what is happening even from far away here in the UK", Cashino declares. "The intention is to stay relevant till I'm ready to return home, I am excited about this joint with Kaynay Drenco." Drenco is songwriter, Hiphop artiste and performer that started out in Enugu, Nigeria with the heavy rotated single "I GoStill Make Am" produced by Ghana-born New York based Eric Kwabena “Coptic” Matlock and his debut 'The Birth(1st Coming)' album available on ITunes.
The song is to be produced by Ghana's pride and number one producer Joey Ofori (DJ
SMOOTH4LYFE) and would be a dedication to Nigerian ladies "It would be exciting to keep it under wraps but be sure it would be a club banger", Drenco assured.
