Nigeria's king of soul, Timi Dakolo has just returned from a visit to America where he recorded songs for his next album 'Love & Consequences'. The adored vocalist joined iconic producer, Cobahms Asuquo at 226 Recordings in Houston Texas in America.

Following his critically acclaimed debut album 'Beautiful noise' in 2011.Dakolo has dominated the airwaves lately with the release of his hit single 'Iyawo mi' and the vintage video that has gotten fans excited and which featured an appearance by his wife, Busola."We've been having a blast here with Cobhams and his baaaad guys," said Dakolo. "I like to pay attention to my work and to my craft and to ensure that those who believe in me get the highest quality music that I can give. Timi Dakolo is an award winning R&B/Soul music artist born on January 20, 1981. Cobhams Asuquo is a singer/songwriter/music producer and music entrepreneur. ROCKSTAR! BEZ HEADLINES SUPER SUN CONCERT, SMASHES GUITAR AFTER PERFORMANCE

On Saturday 29th December 2012, alternative soul and rock star Bez brought down the house at his spectacular Super Sun concert. He was joined by some of Nigeria’s biggest names in music including Waje, Omawumi, Tiwa Savage, Timi Dakolo, Praiz and Seyi Shay.

The highlight of the event was when the headliner, Bez smashed his guitar rock star style to the delight of the audience. Bez’s ‘Super Sun’ album was named one of the World’s Top 10 Music Albums of 2012 by The Boston Globe. Since 2011, Bez has been on a busy international tour. In the audience included a roll call of Nigerian music’s heavyweights including Don Jazzy, Audu Maikori, M.I and Banky W amongst several others.

Praiz And Bez Record 'Stupid Song'

Fast rising artistes Bez and X3M Music's Praiz have collaborated on a duet titled 'Stupid Song' which will be released on Bez's debut album 'Super Sun'.

The song was produced by the very talented Cobhams Asuquo and was also recorded in his studios. As you know, Bez is signed to C.A.M.P (Cobhams Asuquo Music Production). Praiz got a call from CAMP on Friday, July 8 about the recording and after talks with both labels, both acts got recording. The song was done within a session at Cobhams studio. 'It's definitely a stunner', a manager at X3M music, who was present at the recording says.

THE GRAND PREMIERE OF ‘BENT ARROWS’

Stella Damacus, Genevieve, Omoni Oboli, The CEO of Stingomania, Mr Ope Banwo, Lancelot Imaseun the director of the movie, Desmond Elliot, Cobhams Asuquo, Chelsea Eze, Kene Mpakru are but few of the dignitaries that graced the ‘Bent Arrows’ premiere at the Silverbird Galleria on Thursday April 14, 2011.

The event started with dapperly looking guests and celebrities bringing on poise and style on the red carpet while paparazzi and the press had a field day mingling with the stars and taking pictures.

The premiere proper began in a packed full hall with the introductions of the producer, director and some of the cast of the movie. The audience obviously captivated by the storyline of the movie was quiet for most of the movie except for some various interventions of claps and uproar of laughter. Once the movie ended guests were on their feet clapping and commending the producer for a job well done.

While we thought that was the end of the show for the night, Cobhams Asuquo who produced the independent soundtrack album for ‘Bent Arrows’ came on stage and treated the stars and guests a wonderful rendition of the soundtracks of the movie. Stella Damasus who also featured in the soundtrack album of ‘Bent Arrows’, took over the stage after Cobhams and gave a great performance that left the audience spellbound.

The event was wrapped up with the writer and producer of the film Isang, Ubong Awah giving a vote of thanks to everyone present and sating that the story of ‘Bent Arrows’ is a reality that stares at us everyday with a lot of our young girls going out there without the fear of God in their hearts.

Available in cinemas across the country from April 15, 2011, ‘Bent Arrows’ tells the story of three young ladies and their trials in the hands of men, parents and the society and how it affects their individual life. The movie brings to mind the ills of the society against women and the undue parental intervention in the lives of young women and the ills of sexual abuse on young women.

After a year working hard in the studio, refining her sound and re-loading for bigger impact after the success of the first album, Wonder Woman, the multi award winning Omawumi is on the road to her new album.

Odunola weds Cobhams Asuquo

Multi-talented, music producer and the CEO of COMP (Cobhams Asuquo Productions), tied the knot with his long time sweetheart Odunola. The wedding was held at ‘Jesus is Coming Soon’ Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, inside the Redemption camp along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

When asked about his relationship earlier in the year this is what he had to say;

"I am in a serious relationship with a wonderful lady and we have been together for almost a decade. It is very deep, very wide, very rich, very rewarding, very enriching, very productive relationship. It's been my drive for years. It's driven me to achieve, to succeed, to be a better person, to be a more honest person. It is a very meaningful relationship. It has given me room to express and has taken me to another level of expressing myself. It has taught me to love, it hhas taught me to give and receive love. It has taught me to appreciate and to enjoy being appreciated in return. I am in a relationship with someone I consider a very wise woman at her age. She is an absolutely amazing and admirable woman. I like the way she laughs, it just kills me. She's a great and I do hope sincerely that she and I will get married this year."

Cobhams has produced some of Nigeria’s finest artistes, including Asa, Djinee, Faze and Darey, he is signed onto SONY ATV corporation as a songwriter. Earlier today, he updated his facebook status saying "Myself and my wife OJUOLAPE, would like to thank all our friends and family for messages sent and also for their presence at our wedding. words are not enough, but we say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
