FOUR CONTESTANTS TO GO THIS WEEKEND AS EVICTION BEGINS ON DANCE234


The Dance234 judges promised that the competition was going to be tough and thorough, yes; all of these plus anxieties are what the contestants are experiencing right now as eviction begins on the Dance234 show. Four out of the twenty finalists; Asian Ntuk, Egiro Dudu, Chibueze Ndubuisi Favour, Matilda Ikwen Ibobo will all be going home this weekend leaving the rest of the contestants to continue with the dance battle to win the grand prize of a car, N1, 000, 000 (one million naira), and a dance course abroad .

Having to learn new dance routines every week, the obviously talented dancers moving to the next round have a task to not only convince the judges that they can dance, but to be a better dancer than the rest of the contestants because according to the judges, the best dancer of all the contestants will be the last man standing.

The twenty finalists on the Dance234 show out of whom four is being evicted were chosen from rigorous secession of auditions held in Abuja, Enugu, Benin and Lagos.

Speaking on the show, one of the judges Brandiny said, ‘so far Dance234 has proven itself to be one of the most exciting dance shows that have ever happened in Nigeria. The dancers are talented and there is a whole lot of dance routine being brought on stage. Though the competition is getting tougher, the show gets better each week’.

Dance234 doggedly committed to unveiling new set of dancers in Nigeria that will take dance to the height of success the Nigerian music industry has attained, is produced by KOGA entertainment, the foremost entertainment outfit in Nigeria.

ENUGU AND ABUJA TAKES CENTRE STAGE ON TV FOR DANCE234

In the past week, Nigerians have been introduced to new styles of dance as Dance234; a dance reality show likened to no other for young Nigerians looking to pave their way into history through dance hit the airwaves.

Last week we saw how the auditions in Abuja went down, with each of the participants tasked to perform new dance styles. This week, auditions held at the Hotel Presidential, in Enugu will be airing live on the Dance234 show. The show which is being organized by KOGA started airing from the 6th of August 2011, and wil
l henceforth continue to air on Magic World on DSTV by 7pm on Saturdays and on Real Stars on Star Times by 8pm on Sundays.

The final 20 contestants, who emerged after some rigorous auditions held in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu and Benin will be battling it out on the Dance234 stage for the next 13weeks for the grand price of one million naira, a brand new car and a dance course abroad.

One of the judges on DANCE 234, Preere Yibowei while commenting on the show said ‘it is good to be back in Lagos after all the travelling around for auditions in all the regions, but I believe this is where the real task lies, because every one of the 20 finalists that came out of the DANCE234 auditions were talented. Choosing the best of the 20 is not going to be a small task, but I am sure we are up to it.

Another judge on the show Brandiny also stated that We were looking for talented dancers with unique dance styles, not necessarily experts and with the twenty finalists we have selected, we are surely on our way to unveiling another Nigerian Dance guru. The audition was tough for the contestants but I can guarantee that the rest of the journey for the twenty finalists will be tougher because it is our job to ensure the best man wins.

The producer of the show Jemila Musa promises that DANCE234 will go beyond a show. Dance234 is committed to bringing to a reality the stardom dreams of these dancers, ‘this is why we have concluded plans to air the competitions on TV and give the winner an opportunity to become better through further dance lessons abroad.

LAGOS GETS SET FOR DANCE234 AUDITION

In Abuja, the Dance234 audition was hot, in Enugu it was explosive, in Benin it was mind blowing and as many are wondering what more is to come, Lagos picks up the baton for the Dance234 audition, which is to begins on June 25, 26 and 27 at KOGA Entertainment, Bolaji Close, Oregun, Lagos.

Dance234 is a dance reality show from KOGA entertainment a foremost entertainment out fit in Nigeria poised to discover dancers in their purest form, help them unleash the professional dancer in them and give them a platform to be known for their skills.

The experienced team of the Dance234 judges that consist of Brandiny of ‘The Mask’ dance team and Preere Yibowei a Nigerian dance instructor express excitement at the success they have achieved so far in the auditions.

Speaking on the auditions, Brandiny, one of the judges said ‘personally I am encouraged not only by the success of the auditions so far, but because the passion and zeal I see in those who participated in the auditions tells me that dance in Nigeria in a number of years is definitely going to be a really big thing. I am so glad I was a part of this show because it has really opened me up to another of Nigeria’s untapped resources, which is Dance.

Preere YIbowei on her part said ‘I hope not to sound sentimental but I am particularly looking forward to the Lagos audition. This is because I believe Lagos is the headquarter of entertainment in Nigeria, so I am expecting a lot from Lagos’.

The Dance234 Lagos audition will mark the end of all the auditions. After which, twenty finalists consisting of an equal mix of boys and girls will be selected to battle it out on the KOGA stage in Lagos for the grand price of a car, N1, 000, 000 (one million naira), and a dance course abroad’.

DANCE234 AUDITION TEAM MOVES ON TO ENUGU



After a successful audition in Abuja, the Dance234 team moves on to Enugu on June 17, 18 and 19 at the Hotel Presidential, Enugu for the next round of auditions.

Speaking on the Abuja audition, Brandiny, one of the judges on the show said, ‘I was amazed at what I saw. As a dancer myself I know the how important talent is to the profession but for this guys in Abuja, they were not only talented but have somehow managed to lay their hands on some professional dance tips which made their steps more than what you will expect of a regular dance. Judging these dancers is surely not going to be a piece of cake, but we are all ready for the show.

Preere Yibowei a Nigerian dance instructor is the second judge on the show, and speaking on the Abuja show as well she said, ‘more than being a judge at the Abuja audition, I was entertained’.

Jemila Musa, the Dance234 producer optimistic about the audition said, ‘the response to the show has not been limited to Abuja, Enugu’s response has also been great, so we are also looking forward to an explosive audition in Enugu.

DANCE234 UNVEILS JUDGES

The much anticipated dance reality show DANCE234 has unveiled its judges. Bringing
a refreshingly new dimension to dance reality shows and for the first time accommodating all genres of dance as well as according importance to them, DANCE234 is all set to redefine the dance culture in Nigeria.

One of the Judges of DANCE234 is Ini Nbang also known as Brandiny. He is a Nigerian from Eket, Akwa Ibom state. He is the son of His Eminence Dr.Sunday Mbang CON and Bar.Mrs Mbang. In the year 1998 Brandiny joined the Spirit of David gospel dance club and he became one of the best and top dancer and choreographer of the club.In the year 2002 Brandiny established the award winning dance team (THE MASK).This dance team has performed in over 800 concerts within and outside Nigeria (World Health Day Cyprus, Youth Media Forum Mali, Gulder Ultimate Search Finale Nigeria, Hip hop World Awards Nigeria, Nigerian National awards ceremony etc).THE MASK was awarded Nigeria’s Team of the year 2006/ 2007(future awards), Nigeria’s Dance Group of the year 2007, 2008(Icon awards). He has been a judge at several Dance competitions such as Bring it on National Championship 2009 Lucozade boost freestyle TV show 2010 and others, he is optimistic that DANCE 234 will redefine the dance culture in Nigeria.

Preere Yebowei is the second person appointed as judge for DANCE234. She graduated from university of Ibadan with a degree in theatre arts. She is a proudly Nigerian professional dancer who see dance as the strongest means of communication because its subtle but informative. She was a dance consultant to the famous Gwape, the Niger State Cultural Troupe and for three years running, Preeye has been part of the Prestigious Bayside Band at the Calabar Christmas Carnival, led by the former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke. Preere whose versatility as a performer is her strongest point had her fair share of acting in Doctor’s Quarters, and Wetin Dey. She was once a judge for the ‘Maltina Dance All Family Reality show’ and now she says she
believes DANCE 234 is going to be a blast.

Still expecting another judge from abroad and speaking on the choice of judges, Jemila Musa the producer of the show whose production skills has also been brought to bear on well known reality shows such as ‘Celebrity Takes 2’ season 1 & 2, ‘Malta Guinness Street Dance Season 1, 2 & 3, Opa williams’ ‘Comedy Challenge’, and ‘Peak Talent Show’ in time past said ‘we just did not want to choose a judge but we wanted people who understood the craft of dance and could spot a talent, this was what informed our choice of judges’.

DANCE 234…DANCE REALITY SHOW LIKE NEVER BEFORE

New set of dancers are set to emerge in the Nigerian entertainment industry, as KOGA ENTERTAINMENT presents ‘DANCE 234’, a dance reality show likened to no other for young people looking to pave their ways into history by dancing for a cause and of course for fame.Dance 234 is bringing a refreshingly new dimension to the dance reality industry. For the first time in the history of dance reality show in Nigeria, the focus will not mainly be on hip hop style of dance as most reality shows are known for; DANCE234 will accommodate all forms of dance style.

According to Jemila Musa, the producer of the show, ‘this is the first time a dance reality show will be accommodating all genres of dance and according importance to them. What we are looking for are pure dancers, we want you to come just the way you are. If the style of dance you are comfortable with is hip hop, galala, fuji, highlife, traditional dance or what have you, our doors are open. As a matter of fact, we are more than willing to accommodate a new style of dance. What we want are dancers in their purest form and people who can sufficiently express themselves through dance’.

The contestants will have to convince the fierce and experienced team of judges that consist of Brandiny of ‘The Mask’ dance team, Preere Yibowei a Nigerian dance instructor and a yet-to-be disclosed foreign dance expert at auditions that will be held in Lagos, Benin, Abuja and Enugu in June. Sales of forms at N3000 start in the month of May nation-wide in all branches of Zenith Banks.

Twenty finalists from the auditions held in all four regions will be brought together in Lagos to battle it out on stage for the grand price of a car, N1 000 000 (one million naira), and a dance course abroad. First and second runner-up will get a N1 000 000 and N750 000 respectively. The lives of these twenty finalists will surely not remain the same as their skills will be brought to limelight in eviction shows that will be aired weekly on local and international TV stations.
