FACTORY78 - Jacob Banks Face-off interview (Video) Published by @Lanredavies @Mrjacobbanks

Jacob Banks is a 22 year old singer-songwriter from Birmingham. of Nigerian Heritage. Jacob became the first unsigned act to ever appear on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. He supported Emeli Sande on her April 2013 UK tour.

Factory78 caught up with Jacob Banks at the sold out XOYO London gig! He talked about the first time he performed at an open mic in the same venue a year ago, he also talked about the Radio Djs that supported him from day one; and getting signed to a major label, Atlantic Records. He also spoke about what inspired him to drop his EP, The Monogue.

FACTORY78TV INTERVIEWS GHANAIAN STAR EL

Ghanaian star artiste/producer EL made a routine stop at the Factory78tv studios. The wordsmith is in the UK hosting a radio special on BBC 1xtra playing his favourite music. When speaking to Adesope, the gifted musician talked about his controversial freestyle "open letter" where he appeared to have said he was no longer doing any collaborations with Ghanaian rappers. He also touched on the ripples he is making across the borders in Nigeria and the relationships he is building because of that.

The "I like girls" crooner talked about his recent label situation with Storm records clearing rumours on an exit , his thoughts on singers that cant actually sing and his relationship with the producers that made an impact on his music career.

New World Nigeria Showcase featuring Tiwa Savage, Tuface, Naeto C and Asa

Bank of Industry Nigeria sponsored a New world Nigeria event at the G-Live centre in Surrey ,UK on Sunday the 15th of July . This event sees Nigeria showcase the best in fashion, art, theatre and music to the rest of the world.


On the day, Nollywood legends Olu Jacob and Justice Esiri put on a stage play with other Nollywood stars Joke Silva, Segun Arinze,Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey and Bimbo Akintola doing the same over the month long festivities. To round off an eventful night, Nigerian music superstars like Tiwa Savage, Neato C and Tuface were joined on stage by The Nigerian Diasporama All Star Band, featuring Asa, Dele Sosimi, Tony Allen & Keziah Jones. 


Performing some of their hits to an excited audience. Factory78tv was on hand to capture some of the performances including speaking to the entertainers about the entire event.

Factory78tv's exclusive interview with Afrobeats artiste/producer Dj Zeez

Factory78tv caught up with Afrobeats artiste/hit maker Dj Zeez at a Smade entertainment event held at Yager bar in central London. The "fokasibe and Bobbie FC" crooner is in the UK touring with SMG's Sauce kid.In this brief interview Dj Zeez talks about his current Vanilla records,album plans/directions and more importantly his latest single "fido dido" ft Eva.

It was the turn of EME Boyz Skales and Dj Exclusive to do a bit of promo for the upcoming groundbreaking Wizkid UK Tour. Skales flew into the UK for the first time with label boss Banky W and Dj Exclusive on Friday the 1st of June with a Smade entertainment welcome party lined up at IF Bar in east London. Skales took the stage for the first time ever in London .

The Wizkid UK Tour bus finally stops in London on the 4th of June 2012. The stage was set for Wizkid, suprise guests as well as UK based Afrobeats stars, 2kriss, Mr Silva and crew. All the performing acts had their sound check on stage at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo a few hrs before the doors opened and Factory78tv was granted access to witness it all.

Factory78tv brings to you a new series known as "The Face off". This is a new 
show that continues our tradition of exclusive interviews with talented African 
entertainers irrespective of their art, sport or music genre. The aim of the 
"Face Off" interview is to pay total attention to the special guest allowing 
them to share their stories and talk deeply about their crafts whilst giving 
good advice to the younger generation hoping to emulate the successes of our 
guests. 

Being at the forefront of visual entertainment, the BEFFTA award winning 
Factory78tv has identified the need for using an entertainment platform to 
positively inspire the younger African generation around the world hence the 
creation of the "Face Off" series. 

The first edition of the "Face Off" series is with the acclaimed Nigerian music 
video director Akin Alabi. Whilst sitting comfortably in his audio-visual 
studio, he talks to F78tv about his entertainment career so far, his humble 
beginnings as a music director and a musician and working with Afrobeats 
superstars like 9ice and Paul Play. In the spirit of the "Face Off" interview, 
the multi-talented entertainer uses this opportunity to talk indepthly about the 
art of shooting music videos , his choice equipment's and the differences 
between shooting a music video and a movie. Watch the educational interview with
