Jaliil - Power

This is the version of Power recorded by BBx’s very own, Jaliil, released on his Birthday, 23rd September.

GhanaMusic: Introducing Ja'liil

Abdul-Jalil "Ja'liil" Abdulai, leading founder of the BBX Music (Ghana) was born on September 23, 1986 in Accra, Ghana. Growing up in various parts of the world, Ja'liil's rap style as well as his instrumentals are very diverse and exotic. Ja'liil started writing poems in 3rd grade in Adolph S. Ochs academy, Midtown Manhattan, New York after being introduced to the art of rhyme.

Ja'liil started to rap at the age of eleven due to the intriguing nature of rappers' rhyme schemes. Ja'liil rapped on entertainment shows in his Junior High School days.

Ja'liil - SPOTLIGHT

After learning how to make instrumentals in his First year in High School, he took a break from music for unknown reasons. In his young days, Ja'liil listened to singers Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Spice Girls, Lionel Richie, Michael Boltn, Stevie Wonder and grew into listening to rappers like Big Punisher, Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony, Big L,
Jay-Z, Gang Starrs, Onyx, Charlie Baltimore, Queen Pen, Lil Kim, The Notorious BIG, Master P, Eminem and most of the prominent rappers of the mid 1990s.

Ja'liil's love for rap was rekindled after meeting C-Real (Mixdown) and Beatmenace and worked with them for a while. His rekindled fire still burns like an olympic torch.
