“Lindsey”… a name soon to be heard on everyone’s lips and not for shoplifting, rehab or a lesbian relationship but Nigeria’s very own soul songbird. Some may remember Lindsey very briefly as the first contestant on Project Fame 3 to be kicked off but it seems she would be having the last laugh and the likes of Iyanya and Chidinma won’t be alone sharing the spotlight from the Project Fame alumni as witnessed by hundreds this past Saturday Mar 2^nd 2013

The songwriter, singer, guitarist, is no stranger to the world of Nigerian entertainment and has been pegged to be the future of Nigerian soul amongst the big names in the music business has even received a critically acclaimed EP with housed her successful single ‘Drift Away’.

Well as the songbird is set to impact majorly this year, she kicked off her scheme with her ‘Lindsey: Live in Concert’ in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. KAHLI ABDU PRESENTS: BAND OF REBELS [MIXTAPE]

 

As a prelude to a brief hiatus while he works on a number of upcoming projects, Kahli Abdu is set to release a new mixtape, "Band Of Rebels"

As Kahli's final mixtape before he embarks on his "LEGEND EP", a joint "Bandits EP" follow up project with legendary producer Kid Konnect and his official full length album, more details of which would be provided shortly.

 

The Band Of Rebels" project is a lush selection of carefully curated songs featuring Lindsey, Poe, X.O Senavoe, Geniuz, Young Black and Ruby, with production from Kid Konnect, Maytricks, Charlie X, KruttyRanks, Jessie Jags, M.I., and Kahli Abdu himself made up of a number of tracks from the recently concluded rebel friday season 2 and never before heard gems that he had worked on before and during the season.

Introducing Lindsey | Neo-soul artist

Nigerian singer,songwriter and law graduate, Lindsey has been tagged as one of the most promising, fresh upcoming acts in the Nigerian music industry. Although a native of the Igbo Speaking part of Delta State she was born and bred in Jos by her choir member mum,a university Disc Jockey dad and a pianist grandfather. She calls the genre of her music Neo-soul/Alternative.

She is one of the members of the Loopy Crew alongside M.I(Jehovah), Jesse Jagz(Greatest, This Jagged Life),Iceprince, Ruby and Eve with whom she has worked with. She has also worked with the likes of Djinee(Thank You), Jeremiah Gyang, Sammy Sage(Spoken word).

Her music has been influenced by Roberta Flack,sade,Eva Cassidy,Sarah McLachlan,Norah Jones and Corinne Bailey Rae. Lindsey was a contestant of the MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 3.Shortly after,her first song 'Drift Away' was released.
