Darey's artiste, Mo Eazy releases new Single, Ko Soro

Africa’s king of R&B, Darey Art Alade, announced yesterday that UK- returnee, Mo’Eazy has been signed on his label Soul Muzik. The multiple award-winner says he first noticed the young rapper’s remarkable talent while working in London many years back.

“Mo’Eazy is a very talented artiste and I am happy he is the first artiste we’d be signing at Soul Muzik. I also like the fact that he is determined and hardworking, and we are committed to seeing that he achieves all that he sets to do’ Darey says Darey adds “His first single “Ko Soro” which I co-produced will be released this week, and I can’t help but feel like a proud father”. Kosoro, meaning ‘end of discussion’ in Yoruba is a feel good song, a fun filled track that celebrates the liberal spirit. Mo’ Eazy’s first official single from Soul Muzik reflects his infectious personality and swagger and pays no attention to haters of fun. This track gives you the time of your life and shows you how a real star starts a party. The song was produced by Soul Muzik, co-produced by Darey Art Alade and written by Mo’Eazy. Since his return from the UK , Mo’ Eazy has performed at various events within and outside Nigeria. He released his first official single with Soul Muzik titled “Ko Soro” on Wednesday, February 22, 2012.

He says, “Coming back to Nigeria to continue music was a huge step for me but I am glad I took that step because I have met a lot of inspiring people along the way. Working with Darey and getting signed under Soul Muzik Records is a huge achievement for me because I am now working with a very experienced management. Work is already in progress as we are working on a couple of tracks already and I released my first single with Soul Muzik on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. A music video is also in the works so I must say I am pleased to be part of this team!”

Since signing with Soul Muzik, Mo'Eazy’s profile has risen tremendously. He has collaborated with major Nigerian artistes such as Darey, 2face and Modenine. He has already recorded over 25 tracks in Soul Muzik Studios in preparation for his yet untitled debut album. Without an album out in Nigeria, he has already played some of the biggest stages, such as the Calabar Carnival and Rhythm Unplugged sharing the stage with D'banj, P Square, 2face, Wizkid, Darey and a host of others.

There’s much promise for the rising star, as he continues to add to his growing fan base by connecting with new and old fans alike via social media as well as performing constantly at events across Nigeria and the rest of Africa.

BEFTA AWARD-WINNING RAPPER MO EAZY FINALLY RELOCATES TO NIGERIA!

He’s worked with Craig David, collaborated with Nate James and penned hits with 2face Idibia. Now gifted music man, Mo Eazy is bringing the goods back home!

The Prolific UK-based Nigerian rapper is set to return to Nigeria after over a decade away from home and his main aim for coming back, he says, is to make a solid impact in the burgeoning music industry.

Mo’ Eazy isn’t your run-of-the-mill Nigerian rapper based in the United Kingdom. Through his talent and hardwork, Mo’ Eazy is now one of the most recognizable rappers in the whole of the UK, with an impressive catalogue to back up the accolades he regularly receives.

The rapper featured on British soul singer Nate James’ single Universal which received a lot of airplay and charted highly in the UK and Japan; he’s also worked with one of the Biggest British Singers, Craig David’ on “All The Way Remix” , which received major airplay in the UK. Mo’ Eazy has also performed at the popular St. Tropez night-club Papagayo, as part of a rap group known as Renegadez.

His work is not restricted to just foreign acts. He has also worked with some of the biggest names the Nigerian music industry has got to offer including superstars, 2face Idibia and Darey.

In 2010, he co-produced and co-wrote the Golden Jubilee song by 2Face Idibia to mark Nigeria’s 50th independence. Mo’ Eazy also featured on remix tracks for 2face (Chemical reaction) and worked on the smash hit single from Darey Art Alade (The way you are).

For his Africa project, his first single Red Carpet was a big hit in the UK, peaking at number one on BEN TV’s Top-Ten Music charts. His next single Make Your Move was released in mid 2011 and is now receiving massive play on all radio stations in Nigeria as the video charted on Soundcity and NIgezie.

In the UK, Mo’Eazy also did the soundtrack to the indie movie by Godson Media Find Her Keep Her, in which he also acted.

“You need to work hard to get what you want, and your hard work pays off after time; just be patient” says Mo’ Eazy who announced to his teeming fans “I’m back. Back home to where I belong. Back here to stay”. All that hardwork is finally paying off, judging by his recent award nominations and wins. He won the Best UK Nigerian artiste award at the Nigeria Arise 2010 Awards, and at the Black Entertainment, Fashion, Film, Television, Arts Award (BEFFTA) 2010, he won the Best UK Male Act category, he recently won the Nigerian Promoters Association 2011 for Best International Music Act.

Other awards he has been nominated for include; Nigerian Entertainment Award (NEA) 2011 for Best International Music Act, Nigerian Music Video Award (NMVA) 2011 for Most Popular Nigerian Music Video In Europe and Nigerian U.K Based Achievers Award (NUBAA) 2011 for Male Act 2011.

Mo Eazy, whose real name is Moses Agboola was born in the Northern city of Kano, and spent most of his childhood and adult life in South London, UK.

He developed his love for music at a young age when his parents would play the latest records from great musicians such as Ebenezer Obey, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley and Michael Jackson. He was initially known as Young Mo within rap circles but because of his laid-back delivery he changed his moniker to Mo’ Eazy.

The rapper/producer has a new single out Make Your Move which is beginning to make waves on Nigerian radio.
