Although he was born in festac, lagos; Rapper, Singer, Producer and Audio Engineer Obijazz hails from Imo state. His sound is characterized by his unique rap flow, mind bugging lyrics, deep sonorous vocals and jazzy scats. He studied Electrical Engineering in F.U.T.O (Federal University of Technology Owerri). His first recording was in the year 2005 and it was titled ‘Mass Hysteria’ that featured Fela vocal sample.
Since then, he has released more singles such as ‘Gbasibe’ and ‘Carry Go’ in 2007 which features him singing on ‘Carry Go’. He's performed alongside other Nigerian acts such as D’banj, 9ice, P-Squared, Timaya at various big events. His brand new single ‘One More Chance’ took a while to come out, but has just been released and closely followed now by ‘Ki lo n se’.
He is also a voice over artiste and had brief stints in broadcasting on Sports radio 88.9 with the name Kay-jo. He is recording under his own WAVEHOUSE Recordings outfit and his self titled album is to be released soon.
