TRYBE RECORDS SOJAY COVERS DRAKE'S "MARVIN'S ROOM"

After eLDee tweeted that the highly sought after title belonged to none other than Trybe Records’ soulful crooner Sojay, Twitter went abuzz with people agreeing, testifying, wanting to find out more, and cautiously awaiting his highly anticipated 1st single which arrives at midnite, Monday, February 11th. A few people questioned and recommended handles of other good singers, prompting eLDee to issue the challenge of who could create the best cover/rendition of Drake’s “Marvin’s Room”.

After sifting through emails, two standouts were clear: Sojay and his rendition appropriately titled “Sojay’s Room” which features a complete rewrite of the original Drake song alongside his smooth vocals, while the talented songstress Simi’s cover of Marvin’s Room shows the sultry female perspective. Enjoy these two extremely talented vocalists.

TRYBE RECORDS: Sojay Covers Mario's "LET ME LOVE YOU" [VIDEO]

Trybe Records' crooner and Top Talent Season 1 Winner, SoJay, gives fans a glimpse of his vocal abilities with an impromptu cover of "Let Me Love You" while hanging out in Iman Studios.  After already wowing the Trybe crew with his vocals a few minutes prior, when SoJay offered to sing another classic, K9 rushed to play the keys, and eLDee, Sarz, and Rukus quickly grabbed their iPads - each with their unique angle of SoJay's stirring rendition.

After winning the 1st edition of the Top Talent competition, SoJay has already shown his vocal prowess with prominent features on eLDee's Undeniable album; both his memorable verse on the club hit "Higher" as well as the ultra-smooth ode to hard work on "We Made It".

HIGHER - eLDee featuring Sojay & K9

Trybe Records is proud to present "Higher", the first single off the highly anticipated eLDee album "Is it your money Vol.2". Higher features two new artists signed to eLDee's Trybe Records, Sojay and K9.

Sojay and K9 were discovered through a contest Trybe Records held earlier in the year called Top Talent. Top Talent is an annual contest that showcases the best of unsigned Nigerian talent and Sojay was voted winner of the first edition by the general public, followed very closely by k9.

The new eLDee album "Is it your money Vol.2" promises to be his best work yet. It is scheduled for release in september of 2011.
