VIDEO: WAJE FT. DIAMOND PLATNUMZ - COCO BABY

In preparations for the Yuletide, Nigerian queen of Soul music, releases the video to her recently released single, “Coco Baby”. With a feature from award winning Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz, the Godfather Productions directed video is a highly colorful flick set on a beach with a couple of young, good looking men, and women dancing and swaying to the Afrobeat tune.

With a laid back feel and touch to it, you’ll see that once is really not enough to watch this video! Song was produced by E-Kelly Beats.

Introducing A.V.I.D in "Marry Me".

Each sound leaves a memory, but only the melody tells the whole story.

Ever since A.V.I.D (A Voice I Deserve) ,born Tinashe Bgoya, was able to hum a tune, everybody around him knew that music would definitely be his desired career path because that's all he seemed to want to do.

At the tender age of 7, his mother had him enrolled in some private music lessons to help develop the keen interest he had shown from a young age. He proved to be a quick learner and picked up a lot of useful knowledge along the way however his progress was disrupted by boarding school.

He never lost interest and resorted to writing instead. It wasn't long before he had a book full of songs that he really didn't know what to do with. Until his college years. With the money he saved from his pocket money, he started to record some songs at a local studio and with time he started to find his distinct style and sound. He even found out he could rap quite as well as he sings. Ever since then he has never looked back. Song after song after song, he continues to offer his small following tracks to keep them interested, steadily creating a name for himself.

He's currently working on a project as one half of a band named "Sy-Meez". Tanzania is in the building!

Marry Me - A.V.I.D

Super duo Sy-Meez to take over Africa

Introducing the super duo, Vee(Vanessa Mdee) & A.V.I.D(Tinashe), the hippest and freshest thing to have graced Africa's music scene in recent years. A chance meeting between these two individuals, back in 2010, gave birth to what is now known as "Sy-Meez", a name that borrows meaning from the word "Siamese". From the moment they met, their chemistry in & out of the studio was one that which rivals that of conjoined twins so this name fittingly described these two's synergy. Not to mention the fact that they are both Geminies.
Both members exhibit exceptional versatility with the ability to sing really touching tunes & even spit crazy bars, which is what sets them apart in the industry. With talent like this, these two are destined to take over Africa and even the world.

They are currently working on their first project called "1st & Stone" due out sometime in 2011 so be on the lookout for their banging single, due out soon.

A.Y. to represent Tanzania at the MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain

Dar es Salaam:

Tanzanian Bongo Flava giant A.Y. has been booked to rock the MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain (MAMA) in Kenya.

The Best Hip Hop contender will be joining Lizha James from Mozambique, Fally Ipupa from DRC, South Africa’s Da L.E.S. and Ugandan gal trio, Blu3 on stage at the Indoor Arena, Moi International Sports Stadium, Nairobi on 10 October 2009.

A.Y., Da L.E.S, Lizha James, Fally Ipupa and Blu3 join previously announced performers Wyclef Jean, Wahu, Lira, M.I. and Samini at the second annual MAMA awards, taking place at the Indoor Arena, Moi International Sports Centre, Nairobi, and airing to a potential TV audience of 1 billion viewers around the world.

A.Y., otherwise known as Ambwene Yessayah is one of Tanzania’s most popular and successful Bongo Flava artists. A.Y., who nurtured dreams of being a pilot before getting into music, is now flying high on the East African music scene as one of its most respected and commercially successful artists.

Having started his journey in music in 1996 with Tanzanian rap group S.O.G., A.Y. never regretted the decision to go solo in 2002 and continues to dominate the East African hip hop scene with his catchy vocals and socially aware lyrics.

The MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain, Road To MAMA and What Went Down TV shows will be aired on MTV base and partner TV stations in October 2009.
