By now, you know of the $11 million Broadway musical titled 'Fela,' which documents the life of Nigerian activist and performer Fela Anikulapo 
Kuti. The play, which officially debuted on Nov. 23, 2009- include Kuti's personal music, as well as other African, jazz and funk influences.
The show which is to run through the middle of this year has received massive love from the viewers and complaints from Nigerians. This is as a result of the fact that the two actors (Kevin Mambo & Sahr Ngaujah)playing FELA are non-Nigerians.
We were informed today that the producers have been auditioning Nigerians to play the role of FELA and that the Nigerian musical superstar Koko Master whom we all know as D'Banj might be finalizing a major international record contract.
D’Banj might be starring in the Broadway musical version of Fela! The Musical. From the available information, the show will be touring around the world soon. Sure he's got the looks but does he have what it takes to play FELA on broadway? We'll find out in no time.
