Looks like the relationship between Kelechi Ohia, a.k.a Kel, and boss of Capitol Hill Records, Clarence Peters, has gone sour. Quite unlike him, Peters was unwilling to hold brief for the 
award-winning female rap artiste when Life & Beat called. ”I‘m sorry, we can no longer discuss anything on behalf of Kel, at least for now,” Peters said, hinting at a rift between Kel and the records label.
Clarence Peters‘ response betrayed his determination to cut off all access to the artiste, even as Life & Beat sniffed anger and a possible breach of contract in the air. The young man, who is better known for his classy videos, had added: ”We have decided to put on hold any further discussions on Kel and she is not permitted to grant interviews to the press or do business with anyone until we have sorted out things with her”. Peters wouldn‘t say exactly why he was barring Kel from dealing with the press. There is an indication that the matter (whatever it is) may have gone to court. If it is true then, coming barely three months after the rap artiste won the Best Female Artiste award at the 2009 MTV African Music Awards event in Nairobi, Kenya, this could deal an avoidable blow to her career. Repeated attempts by Life & Beat to reach the rap diva were not successful.
