I am Young Ty

By now, you know we've been featuring lots of hot Nigerian artists from the UK. Below, you'll find another fresh artist from the UK; he'll introduce himself. US pple wake up o (lol).

My name is O.G.B aka Young-Ty. iSing, iRap, iModel and iAm Hustle.
I am a music lover and that passion drove me into writing trying to emulate the artist or type of music I listened to. I am versatile with regards to the type of music I listen to; bumping to 50 cent, Biggie, Pac, D.m.x, Ludacris, Eminem and Dre to chilling to the likes of Luther Vandross, Celine Dion, Joe, Montell Jordan and all sorts. So on a lovely day when a beautiful girl is on my mind then am riding with Joe or bumping to Tyrese lol.

I have been writing since I was 14 I never took it serious until my friends in school formed a group called FlowZone and I liked their vibe and the kind of music they made so they asked me to join them. I wrote hooks, bridges and and rap for the group. We had inter-school performances and also performed in talent shows to help to make people generate interest in our music.

After secondary school I moved to the U.k to further my education. The transition from home had a big effect on me, not knowing my surroundings and having to meet and deal with a total different set of people kind of reduced my artistic creativity. Not until my friend Justice moved to the U.k when he got an admission to Newcastle College.

I have been working with Justice aka X.K.X.M for over 5 years now. We've been best friends ever since we got a chance to make music together. We have an amazing relationship, he's like my younger brother and I would do anything for him. He is one of the most creative producers I have worked with hands down. It's funny because the first beat he ever made was with a table and his two hands and am not talking about turn table but a wooden table in school. Ever since then he never stopped creating ill sounds. We work very well he knows what I want, he feeds me and I go in like am supposed to.

As an artist I would like to break barriers with my music, all languages, all races, all ethnicities. But charity begins at home; so I would like to get the recognition in my home country first (Nija), given the crown there first and then move on to shine the light on the rest of the world with my music.
