The purpose of this letter is to invite you to be our guest for our 3rd Annual Fundraising Banquet The purpose of this event is to highlight the 
significance of progressive education in the whole of Africa as well as other developing nations, to enlighten the minds of capable individuals and corporations to better understand that the most plausible way to bring social and economic change to these regions of the world is through education, and to bring to light the detrimental effect the lack of equal opportunity for education is having on these regions. We hope that after attending Fundraising Banquet, you will leave with a renewed sense of support for the children of the developing world and you will understand the major impact your support will make in their lives.
The Merry Hearts Foundation, Inc. (MHF) is a non-profit organization that helps underprivileged and low-income youth reach their goals through educational assistance, emergency services, and social services. Our efforts aim to provide youth with financial and emotional support based on merit and financial need. We expect this will open up the necessary doors for them to receive the education they deserve and provide an opportunity for them to become role-models for future generations. We recognize that too many talented and motivated students are deprived of basic educational necessities such as school books/bags, proper shoes and uniforms because of their families’ inability to meet the financial obligations of sending the children to school. Thus, the children are denied the opportunity to maximize their potential and cannot compete on a regional or global level for opportunities of employment and/or social and political involvement.
The Merry Hearts Scholarship Fund is a non-profit initiative that reaches out to underprivileged pre-university youth in impoverished regions of the world. The Fund is constantly seeking ways to make a significant impact in educating and improving living conditions for the needy by providing financial, moral, material and intellectual support in equipping them with necessary tools to succeed academically and socially. The Fund is not a political initiative and does not intend to undermine any political regime or structure. We believe that through our assistance to the students, they will be better positioned to be future leaders of their prospective nations.
With a quality education, the sky is the limit for what a child can achieve, and money should not be a road block or a glass ceiling. All provisions under these scholarships are to be used toward the students’ education in the school which they are currently attending. Any student chosen as a recipient of the scholarship will receive a new book bag, new school books, writing utensils, a new uniform including new shoes, and money to cover any essential fees or examination fees.
