10 Finalists Battle for N10 million as Nigeria’s Got Talent Ends!

After 6 months of auditions and going through thousands of talents, the 10 finalists of the continent’s biggest talent hunt show; Nigeria’s Got Talent, have emerged. The final 10 acts were battled it out over the weekend for one last chance to emerge winners of the grand prize of N10 million. Starting the performances for the night was a rapper from the city of excellence, Lagos. Chuka Solace promised Nigerians the best that rap has ever offered and he was able to deliver just as he promised, as he received turns of applause from both the audience and judges.

His performance was seen as one with great rhyme scheme and rhythm by Yibo Koko, a judge. Next up was Dr. Bariyu Yusuf, the ventriloquist who was accompanied by his dog. Their comic performance went very well with the judges and audience. The Impulse, an acapella group from Port Harcourt were next to perform in the race for N10 million. Their performance of Iyana’s all time hit, ‘Kukere’ didn’t go quite well for the judges as they believed that the group had performed better and more energy was needed. The next act to perform was the small but very mighty, Amarachi Uyanne. The 8-year-old from Benin has alw

ays brought new dance moves and exciting energy to the stage. Her exciting entrance with the guitar and her rendition of the Christmas carol as well as her dance moves left the judges and audience in awe of her energy, talent, and beauty. “I envy your mother Amarachi. I am so proud of you and you have all my votes,” said Kate Henshaw. Next to perform was The Xpendables, a dance group. Their dance moves was described as entertaining and energetic by the judges. Toke Salami, a singer from Ibadan performed next. Her solemn but very energetic rendition of Lara George songs ‘Hallelujah and Kole Baje’ earned her applause from the audience. The judges weren’t quite impressed as they all thought her voice needed more training. Next was Nathaniel Olivia also known as ‘DJ Mouth’, who brought the house down with his beats performance. “What you just showcased today is a talent worth more than N10 million,” said Yibo Koko. Jesse and Ogeh also kept the energy going with the smooth ballet performance.

Their performance was enjoyed by both the judges and the audience. Also Boniface Ukeme, choreographed to Dare’s song, ‘Not the Girl.’ His performance was deep and very touching. To round up the show was Godwin Ogechuku, the violinist. His performance of Nigeria’s latest hit songs, ‘Alingo and Ihe Neme’ was spectacular and very
entertaining. “Godwin that was amazing, entertaining and that is what I call talent,” said Dan Foster. From dance, to singing, to violin and many more acts, Nigeria’s Got Talent has shown each weekend that there is always something to look forward to. The grand finale comes up next week Sunday with one of the ten finalists walking away with the curvetted prize of N10 million. Nigeria’s Got Talent grand finale is going to be aired on Sunday on AIT (10:30 PM), STV (8:00 PM), NTA (4:00 PM), TVC (9:00PM) and Soundcity (6:30 PM). Hosted by Andre Blaze, the judges for the season are radio host Dan Foster, actor Kate Henshaw and entertainment entrepreneur, Yibo Koko.
