KECHI OKWUCHI TO PERFORM AT THE LUNAR NEW YEAR FESTIVAL IN DALLAS

Celebrate the Year of the Dog at this fest that is spread over 2 weekends. All are welcome to share and observe the Southeast Asian cultures and traditions with nightly concerts, daytime cultural performances, food vendors, fresh flower market, kids zone, firecrackers and more.

About Kechi Okwuchi

Kechi is one of the two survivors of the Sosoliso plane crash, which occurred in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 2005. The plane crash claimed the lives of 107 passengers, most of which were school students. Kechi was lucky to survive and has had over 100 surgeries because of the burns she suffered on over 65% of her body from the crash. Kechi uses music as an escape/therapy from all the pain she feels.
