Designer Deola Sagoe walks the runway at the Arise Magazine African Collective Fall 2010 fashion show 
during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at The Tent at Bryant Park on February 13, 2010 in New York City.
Deola Sagoe collection was inspired by East African Maasai warriors and the 18th century European military uniforms. It featured strong shoulders, body-con mini frocks perfect for party girls, cigarettes trousers and leggings, evening dresses and military inspired jackets with bead works, embroideries and lace details. The color palette ranged from neutrals to navy to metallic golds. Deola Sagoe was the only designer who received the standing ovation from the audience.
