JAH-BLESS emerged from the streets of Lagos; born Olatunde Owoloye Olumoroti popularly known on stage as JAH-BLESS (God Bless, He who God has blessed), was born in Lagos but his ancestors hail from ONDO State. He has been doing what he knows to do best for almost a decade now although the face was invisible to many people but the brand has been a household name ever since.
He started his music career with a group called the Melodyz which comprises of him, Akinmamba & Johnnyp. In 1998, the group released their first single titled “JUMOKE”; the song rocked the airwaves and receive credibility in the western region of Nigeria for over a year with performances on Rothmans Groove Tour, Benson & Hedges Tour and several campus shows.
The song earned the group a record deal with Nova Promotions, they recorded an album which was never released by the record company due to some financial restrain. However in 2002, the Melodyz decided to go on solo efforts, JAH-BLESS was opportune to contest for the first Nigerian Breweries Talent Hunt Show tagged ''STAR QUEST'' and brilliantly won the 3rd position in Ibadan Zone of the contest and the group KC Presh emerged the winner of the contest. In 2003, the anticipated awaiting superstar released his first single on solo effort DIS & DAT featuring Lord Of Ajasa and the song received massive airplay from the Nigerian radios, DJs and had good sales from the Nigerian Music Pirates popularly known as Alaba Boys.
He also began the compilation of his debut album, hooked up with Nigerian Finest Music Producer I.D Cabassa, During the recording of his debut album he realized there is more to music than just singing so he took the chance learning production aspect of the music and this took him another 2 years of music life and later came out with five tracks from the studio. In 2005, JAH-BLESS was signed on by EDGE RECORDS where he finally completes his album and awaiting release. The album featured known artistes like LORD OF AJASA, DURELLA, 2PHAT, 2SHOTZ, 9ICE and PRETTY THUGS N' 9TIN, production touches by ID.CABASSA, 7TH CHORD, JAH-BLESS and S.A.R.Z. He featured on a song with Nigerian Finest Artiste 9ICE party scorcher titled ''Ganja Man''. He wants to be known as an artiste with originality with intention to regurgitate the pride of mother tongue.
